See how God is working through Summer Bible Camps and raising up the next generation to share the Gospel.

Since 2008, more than 60,000 children have trusted Christ at SGA-supported Summer Bible Camps. At camp, girls and boys not only enjoy games, sports, and time together—they hear the clear message of the Gospel and experience the love of Christ through caring pastors and volunteers.

Many come from difficult and unstable backgrounds. Some are social orphans. Others are growing up without fathers, or in homes marked by hardship. For many, camp is the first place where they are treated with dignity, kindness, and hope.

We praise God for how He continues to work through local churches, and we are grateful for the prayers and generous support of friends like you who help make this ministry possible. Below is one example of how God is at work through Summer Bible Camps—where many former campers are now serving a new generation.

This past year, seven camp programs were held in one region of Kazakhstan, including two in remote villages. Altogether, more than 700 children of different nationalities and backgrounds took part. For many, it was their very first encounter with the Gospel—shared in a context of love, respect, and acceptance.

Despite modest conditions, the team was able to gather children together and clearly share the message of Scripture. Each child heard the story of the Prodigal Son in their own language, helping them understand that they can be reconciled to their Heavenly Father.

It was a powerful reminder that even in the most remote places, God is opening hearts.

This Summer Bible Camps season also brought a special opportunity: reaching children from orphanages.

In Kazakhstan, orphanages are typically closed environments, and access is very limited. Yet God opened the door for children who had never heard about Jesus to attend camp and experience His love.

Some children were attending for the first time, while others returned—allowing relationships to deepen and spiritual growth to continue.

One of the most encouraging signs of God’s work is what happens over time. Many of those serving at the camps today were once campers themselves. Years ago, they came as children in need. Today, they are helping lead, organize, and encourage others—sharing the Gospel with the next generation.

Some have been baptized. Others are continuing to grow in their faith. But all are now participating in ministry. Even former orphans who once attended camp are now serving: “Thank you for continuing to do these camps. We were once kids just like them, and it gave us hope and strength. Now we are happy that we can serve others.”

This is a clear testimony that the seeds planted years ago are now bearing fruit.

In addition to traditional camps, outreach programs like football camps are helping reach teenagers—many of whom are growing up without fathers or in difficult family situations.

Through sports and shared activities, strong relationships are formed. These connections open the door for ongoing ministry, including church involvement and continued discipleship.

Even among children from non-Christian backgrounds, trust is being built and the light of the Gospel is being shared.

Summer Bible Camps are not just a one-time experience. They are often the beginning of an ongoing relationship with a local church, where children continue to grow, learn, and be discipled.

As we see in Kazakhstan, some who once attended are now helping lead—reaching others with the same hope they received. As Scripture reminds us: So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth (1 Corinthians 3:7).

Summer Bible Camps are approaching once again, and churches are already preparing to welcome thousands of children.

Your support can help provide what is needed most—so boys and girls can come, hear the Gospel, and experience the love of Christ through His people. Through your one-time or monthly gift, you can help:

  • Provide a safe, caring environment for children
  • Share God’s Word clearly and faithfully
  • Support ongoing discipleship through local churches

As God works through these camps, lives are being changed—not just for a week, but for eternity.
