Not long ago, we received a wonderful report from Nikolai, who heads one of the SGA-sponsored Orphans Reborn teams in Belarus. Included in his report was a short letter of thanks from Pavel, a young man who is one of the orphan graduates reached with the Gospel through your prayers and support of Nikolai’s ministry.
Pavel ended up in the orphanage because his parents were unable to care for him. We trust that his letter will be a blessing to you, and a tremendous affirmation of the impact Orphans Reborn is having in countless young lives.
Dear Friends,
With the first words of my letter, I would like to express to you my deep gratitude for your help in through a difficult period in my life. My name is Pavel and I am 21 years old. I was raised in the orphanage. I don’t know my father at all, and my mother is addicted to alcohol.
When my time to leave the orphanage drew close, many times I pondered my future life. The state would not support me anymore, and I didn’t know how I would survive.
God helped me through you! I have bought much-needed items such as an electric kettle, skillet, and dishes. When I came to the place where I was assigned to live, I was very surprised as there was only a bed with springs and a nightstand. I was so disappointed! I thank and praise the Lord for the good people who have helped me. Thank you so much for your charity!
I attend the church and try to go to each service. I enjoy my time in the church, and what is the most important—I can see and feel how God cares for me and loves me. Thank you again so much for your material help. I wish you all the best!
Pavel
