Editor’s Note: The testimonies and images below were provided by an SGA-supported church in Poland.

Many of Ukraine’s 1.5 million refugees who have fled the country since Russia launched war are now staying in neighboring Poland — where an SGA-supported church has opened its doors to house as many refugees as possible.

In thankfulness for food, warm clothing, and other supplies provided through Compassion Ministry, the suffering people are lifting their voices in praise to God. Here is a rough translation of their hymn that you can watch below:

Let my prayer flow
To You like incense.
And the heart beats incessantly
To Your wonderful heavenly land.

Chorus:

God, I pray for Ukraine,
God, I pray for people.
You forgive them,
You save them
And show us your mercy.
God, I know that you will be with us
In your temple under heaven.
You have given joy and peace
You gave your life for people
You wrote us in the book of life.

In Your Living Word
You gave the command for life.
That all men may pray therefore
To Him who died for them on the cross.

Watch refugees in Poland join in unison as they sing:

In a time of great fear and uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported churches and Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes food for 10 days, medicine, warm clothing, shoes, and Scripture materials.
