Editor’s Note: The report and images below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

This ministry report comes to us from a faithful SGA-supported pastor in an embattled region. His church and others are literally lifelines to those suffering under this war. “People come to church because they know they will always receive help,” Pastor Mykola says. “But above all, we tell people about Jesus.”

As the war continues in Ukraine, the generosity of friends like you helps equip Mykola to provide help for the body and help for the soul. We know these are God’s plans . . . plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11b). Please pray for Mykola and his congregants. Through the efforts of these persevering saints, God is adding to His Kingdom. And nothing can stop His plan!

Here is more from Mykola’s report . . .

Friends, SGA workers, dear supporters!

Please accept my sincere greetings. Our church “Life in Christ”, is sincerely grateful for your help! From the very beginning of the war to the present day, our church has been trying to constantly help people affected by the war. We help those who have lost their property, we help IDPs [internally displaced persons] and low-income families.

We are grateful to the Lord for the ministry of your mission, for all the sponsors who donate. Without your support and help, we would not have had the opportunity to provide all the necessary things for poor and injured people ourselves. People come to church because they know they will always receive help. But above all, we tell people about Jesus, about His sacrifice for our sins on the cross, about His love and His grace!

Our church is not big. Many members have left the church, but many unbelievers come to hear the Word of God, and that makes us happy! I want you to know, dear friends, that many people are really surviving through your food aid! Therefore, may the Lord repay you a hundredfold for your generosity, care, support in the difficult times our country is going through and for your unselfish love for our people.

We pray that the Lord would have mercy on our country and give us peace, that He would send out the [invaders] from our land. It is possible for Him! He can do it! But the Lord has His time for this! May we all have strength and complete trust in God!

With prayers,
Mykola, pastor of the church “Life in Christ”
