All throughout the war in Ukraine, God has pursued hurting people. As you read from Pastor Sergei’s recent report below, will you take a moment to praise God for His passionate pursuit in the midst of horrific circumstances? We pray that more suffering people in Ukraine will turn to Him in their hour of great need and receive His gift of salvation. “I have come as Light into the world so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness” (John 12:46 NASB).
Here is Pastor Sergei’s recent report of how churches in his region are offering spiritual care, as well as providing for physical needs . . .
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Greetings, brothers and sisters,
By God’s grace, He sustains our lives and gives opportunities to minister to the churches and the lost in need of the Gospel. Along with food, we give the book “First Aid for the Soul”, as well as the New Testaments. Not only large city churches, but also small gatherings take an active part in the ministry — thank the Lord for that!
Today I witnessed the repentance of two souls. The Lord turns to Himself the people in difficulties, this expanding His Kingdom. Now, as I am writing this message to you, the air raid siren sounds in the House of Prayer. In the basement, more than 40 people are listening to the Gospel. As for finances, out of received [funds], we used [these funds, on food packages, on delivery of cargo from western Ukraine, and local delivery purposes within the region, and on medicines. We plan to use the outstanding amount on refueling of two vehicles, as we are going again for taking groceries in [a Ukrainian] region, and on food delivery around the region.
We are heartily thankful to you and those who donated on helping the churches of our Baptist Union and those who are in need today. God bless you!
Prayerfully for you,
Pastor Sergei
P.S. This is our mutual ministry, as without you we would not be able to serve people the way we do. Praise our Lord for His blessings!
