Ukraine Relief
Editor’s Note: The report below was provided by an SGA-sponsored church in Ukraine.

What a blessing to receive this recent report from a sponsored church in our network in Ukraine! Please pray for this congregation as you read and see the images of God’s provision and faithfulness. A bag of groceries –delivered to a hurting soul in a time of war–, has great power when God is at work.

May He continue to accomplish His will — and draw more hurting Ukrainians to Himself — through our faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who continue serving Him.

Thanks be to God for you, for our fellowship and mutual effort in performing our ministry for the glory of God! Now, we would like to share about the ministry of delivering food assistance for the needy.

Every week we give out food gifts at the church here in [our] town and at our associate churches in our area. We are able to serve about a thousand people a week.

The people that come have different backgrounds: disadvantaged, those who lost their jobs during the war, IDPs [internally displaced persons] from the flash point of the hostilities, senior citizens and large families — all who are in desperate need. We share the Gospel, pray with them, and answer their questions.

Many of those who were coming just for food aid, now come to the  worship services, and some have already repented and received Jesus as their Savior — and it all started with a bag of groceries.

We thank God for His work that He is doing in the people of our town through our mutual ministry! Thank you for participating in the life of our town and the whole region through food assistance, so that the people would not lack food and have their needs covered. May God reward you!

All glory be to God!

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
